Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Prenatal Massage – 90 Min.

Yes. Our therapists are certified in prenatal techniques and adjust pressure and positioning for each trimester. Early consultation with your OB is recommended for high-risk pregnancies; we require clearance if you have complications or specific medical concerns.

We use specially designed bolsters and side-lying positions to ensure comfort and safety. Therapists avoid prone positioning and tailor support for hips and abdomen, allowing extended 90-minute care while minimizing pressure on sensitive areas.

Please inform us about your due date, any pregnancy complications, blood clots, hypertension, diabetes, placenta previa, or recent bleeding. Also tell us about medications and previous pregnancies so therapists can modify techniques and ensure a safe, effective treatment.

Frequency depends on individual needs; many clients benefit from weekly or biweekly sessions, while others prefer monthly maintenance. Your therapist will recommend a schedule based on comfort, symptom severity, and medical guidance to support ongoing relief and wellbeing.

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. You may undress to your comfort level; therapists will drape respectfully. Bring any pillows you prefer, your medical clearance if requested, and arrive hydrated. We provide towels, bolsters, and a relaxing environment.

Contraindications include active vaginal bleeding, preeclampsia, recent blood clots, uncontrolled hypertension, or certain infections. If you have high-risk conditions, we require physician approval. Our staff screens clients and will recommend alternatives when massage isn’t advisable.
